Notes from the Road is a collection of stories I wrote while travelling Australia over the past five years, usually from the back seat of a car or a pub verandah. Whether it’s crashing the school disco in Wollombi, learning to gut a goanna in Cobar, running out of petrol in the desert, befriending medieval re-enactors, or chasing a self-declared prophet, I hope these tales serve as a reminder that sometimes the best adventures are in our own backyard.
